Why your bill went up instead of down

• The system never turned on. If it never got Permission to Operate from FPL or Duke, you're paying the full electric bill AND the solar loan — two bills where you were promised one.
• It's badly undersized. The system was sold to cover your usage but only offsets a fraction of it.
• Net metering was never set up, so the power you do make isn't credited properly.
• Production fell far short of the glossy estimate you were shown at the kitchen table.
